Despite the unwelcoming weather, fashion and beauty buffs βmyself included! β braved the blizz on day two of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York City.
My fashion week started downtown on Friday morning at Pier 57 for designer Sally LaPointe’s fall/winter 2013 collection.
After viewing the edgy-yet-chic collection anchored by blacks, tans and blood reds, I slipped backstage to capture the mountains of models and makeup to get a better look at what beauty looks I’ll be practicing for fall 2013.
(For runway pics of the show, see my Facebook album and of course, check Style.com!)

{Kabuki and the MAC Pro team worked their magic at the Sally LaPointe show. Each station had printouts of the models’ looks to be created.}

{Fresh berry gives lips a just-bitten look, while brows are thick, neat and natural β no additional boldness necessary.}

{Berry, oxblood’s lighter, pinker sister, dominated Sally LaPointe’s runway show. Brows remained natural and groomed while eyes appeared naked.}

{Pantene stylist and global ambassador Danilo pulled hair back in loose chignons that easily came down post-show. See more pics in my Facebook album to see the looks as they appeared on the runway.}

{It was so sweet to see Sally getting her own hair primped a bit for photos with numerous people backstage (myself included!).}
