As you may remember, I’m working on cleaning up my cosmetics collection to include more natural beauty products and fewer conventional makeup.

It’s been so easy for me to swap out my toxic lip glosses for cleaner versions, and I’ve taken a loving to Vapour Organic Beauty products during this transition period.

I recently received a little goodie bag from the folks at NuboNau, who were kind enough to help me wade through the natural makeup options on the market, and one of the samples they sent me was Vapour Organic Beauty’s Elixir Plumping Gloss in Coax, a shimmery, sandy color.

I don’t typically reach for sandy/tan lip colors, but I was surprised at how warm and inviting this color looked on my naturally rosy lips. It keeps my face looking natural and neutral, and is a perfect color for my lips when I want to focus on my eyes instead.

I like this gloss because it’s not sticky, it’s super-sheer and it gives my not-Angelina-sized lips a little boost upon application.

No, this isn’t an extremely plumping gloss the way some of the conventional plumping glosses are — but this gloss also doesn’t give you that bees sting-uncomfortable-my-lips-are-on-fire feeling, either.

Check out the incredibly hydrating, not-painful ingredients:

Organic castor seed oil, castor isostearate beeswax succinate, organic sunflower seed oil, organic lecithin, organic acai fruit extract, organic goji fruit extract, organic jojoba seed oil, essential oils and natural fruit essences, organic beeswax, natural vitamin E, stevia extract, organic lemon balm, wildcrafted myrrh, organic iceland moss, organic green tea leaf; titanium dioxide, iron oxides, mica and carmine

I’ll be perusing NuboNau’s natural makeup section some more to see what other goodies I need to stock up on for fall — and for my makeup overhaul.

What do you look for in a plumping gloss — or any lip gloss?

What colors do you like? And what colors do you have just a few of (for me, it’s tans!).

And, finally…where do you buy natural beauty products?

Leave me a comment (or blow me a kiss!).
