beauty scoop | la bella figura barbary fig renewal serum

Another facial oil has earned a permanent spot on my top shelf.

La Bella Figura’s Barbary Fig Renewal Serum is my latest love — and you know I love my facial oils. But this serum, a “super serum” packed with intense moisturizers, is absolutely incredible.

{La Bella Figura sent me a few small dropper samples of its Barbary Fig Renewal Serum. A full-size bottle (1 ounce) costs $125. Photo Courtesy La Bella Figura}

La Bella Figura co-founder Victoria Fantauzzi chose barbary fig seed oil (also called prickly pear oil) from Tunisia as the core ingredient for her natural skincare line because it contains tons of essential fatty acids and nearly four times more vitamin E than argan oil. This precious, expensive oil is on track to be “the next argan oil” when it comes to efficacy.

Barbary fig seed oil packs tons of essential fatty acids for collagen support. Combined with broccoli seed oil, the renewal serum helps smooth and prime skin for makeup. In addition, guava oil acts as a retinol while milk thistle seed oil and magnolia oil add brightness and a clean, sweet scent.

Besides these benefits, the best thing about La Bella Figura’s Barbary Fig Renewal Serum is its multipurpose use. It’s the perfect overnight reparative serum, light daytime moisturizer and pre-makeup primer. It’s the least-oily serum/oil I’ve ever used, and its smell rivals that of some of my favorite brands’ oils.

La Bella Figura’s Barbary Fig Renewal Serum will easily have you reconsidering the mountains of beauty products lining your cabinet. (Or is that just me who hoards beauty products?)

Have you heard of barbary fig seed oil? What do you think of multipurpose products? If one product could serve three important purposes, would it be enough for you to spend $125 per ounce? Tell me your thoughts in the comments section.
