One of my favorite things about Twitter is being able to connect with like-minded eco beauties around the world.

Victoria of La Bella Figura and I connected a few months ago via the Twitterverse after finding each other through several #naturalbeauty tweets and green beauty conversations.

She also saw a few of my previous natural beauty buff posts (like this one, this one, this one and this one) and was thrilled to share her eclectic mix of homemade, high-end and drugstore natural beauty products with me.

I don’t know who was more excited — Victoria to tell me all of her amazing beauty secrets and upcoming product developments, or me, who was furiously taking notes and firing off questions to pick this eco-beauty expert’s mind for the hour we chatted on the phone.

Victoria has turned me on to so many new products and homemade concoctions. I’m excited to share this natural beauty’s secrets with you!

(As usual, I’ve starred the products that I also love — and I’ve yet to try La Bella Figura products, but as soon as I do, be ready for a review!)

Inside Victoria’s Purse

“My bag is a rose-colored, buttery leather bag that can be worn across the shoulder or by handles. I got from a small shop in Buenos Aires. It’s by an Italian designer named Maurizio Taiuti.”

Blum Naturals Daily Dry/Sensitive Skin Cleansing and Makeup Remover Towelettes

“I travel a lot and these come with me wherever I go. They are refreshing and gentle enough for sensitive skin. It’s nice if you’re on a plane and feel the need to cleanse your skin. You can pick them up at Whole Foods.”

The Ginger People Original Ginger Chews

“I love ginger, and these chews don’t have a lot of sugar in them.”

*John Masters Organics Lip Calm

“Our balm is a lip treatment, so I carry this balm for everyday use. I love the smell of it!”

Rainbow Lite Vitamin D3 Sunny Gummies

“These taste like candy. But you have to remember this is an actual vitamin — don’t eat more than one! I take that kinda that has 1,000 IUs. That’s all your body absorbs at a time. It’s the perfect amount.”

Bite Lip Shine in Sante, Bite Luminous Crème Lipstick in Pepper and Bite Luminous Crème Lipstick in Fig

“Bite is an all-natural Canadian brand. I stumbled upon these at Sephora. One of the things that attracted me to Bite is it’s made with resveratrol. It’s very soft and moisturizing because of the coconut oil, shea butter and argan oil. It feels really nice on your lips.”

100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Ballerina Pot Rouge Blush

“This is my new little favorite thing. It has a very small amount of shimmer to it that gives you this beautiful glow. I can put my regular blush on and then put this on over it to get a little glimmer. I picked it up at If A Goddess Wore Makeup in Chicago.”

Homemade Perfume Oil

“The carrier oil is coconut. It has rose and cardamom oils in it.”

Reading Glasses

“I discovered about a year ago that I needed reading glasses when I couldn’t read a menu. I have so many pairs of reading glasses. I picked up a bunch on the street in New York last summer. These red ones are my favorite because they remind me of my old Ford Bronco — they both have side wood paneling!”

Inside Victoria’s Medicine Cabinet

Alba Botanica Rainforest Andiroba Exfoliating Body Wash

“I like this body wash because it wakes you up. The oil is amazing; it’s from the Amazon. So healing. If you ever have a cut or burn, it helps it. It also has cinnamon, so that wakes you up, and there’s a small amount of exfoliating seeds to help invigorate your skin.”

La Bella Figura Tesoro Mediterranean Blend

“This was our bestseller for a long time. It has argan oil and six Mediterranean essential oils: bergamot, lemon, grapefruit, chamomile, neroli, fennel seed oil. When we started the brand, it was really odd to put oil on your face — but it’s perfect if you have acne. If you are prone to breakouts, it clears your skin right up.Our biggest customer base is men!”

Homemade Foot Balm

“I mixed illipe butter from the Amazon, coconut butter, cocoa butter and murumuru butter from the Amazon to make this extremely rich balm. It’s very soft. I used it on my feet all winter long.”

La Bella Figura Moroccan Face Gold

“It’s pure argan oil that has been certified organic and certified Ecocert. I don’t use it all the time. I use it on my body, in my hair and on my cuticles. When people come to visit they like to use it.”

B12 Oil

“I use it for energy. It’s great for menstrual cramps. I probably should take it daily, I just take it when I really need it, like when I feel sluggish or need a boost.”

La Bella Figura Decouverte Under Eye Repair

“I love this product so much. It is definitely our bestseller. Barbary fig seed oil is the main ingredient. Barbary fig seed oil is really rich in vitamin E — it has more than argan oil. It also has lots of polyphenols and natural vitamin K. You need vitamin K for dark circles under eyes. This really has everything you want for your eyes — vitamins A, C and K; rosehip seed oil; tomato seed oil; and green coffee bean oil.”

La Bella Figura Barbary Fig Renewal Serum

“This is our latest formulation and a great product for spring and summer. Some people are still afraid to use facial oils and serums, but insiders know these products are quickly replacing creams and lotions. Our serum contains a blend of the highest beneficial oils such as barbary fig seed oil, milk thistle, broccoli, guava and pineapple. This combination increase the vitamin and mineral content you’ll get delivered to your skin. I love our Barbary Fig Renewal Serum most because it is so gentle yet works its heart out at reverse skin damage from the sun, smoke or environmental stress. It also contains frankincense, rose otto, melissa, blood orange and magnolia flower oils to really boost antioxidants as well as repair and boost collagen.”

Mychelle Apple Brightening Face Cleanser

“I love these little face cleansers. This one (I use a few of the Mychelle), the apple brightening cleanser, is very gentle, has a little bit of water and really great ingredients. Apple extract helps to exfoliate skin a little bit and helps with natural brightening. It smells so great.”

Homemade Body Oil

“This blend of argan oil, grapeseed oil and jasmine oil smells so great and is very light. I use it all over.”

Hugo Naturals Lavender Mist

“I use this in my hair, and I spritz it on my body. I like it because first of all it’s very portable (the travel size). I travel a lot. I like things you can travel with. I like the smell. I like putting it in my hair. I don’t really use very many hair products at all. I put this in before I comb my hair.”

Victoria’s Favorite Products

*Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist

“This is especially perfect for winter use when skin tends to become more dehydrated. A little mist before moisturizing will lock in healing oils and help skin stay hydrated. It comes in a half-ounce size, which also makes it great for traveling, and it smells amazing.”

Tom’s of Maine Toothpaste

“I use a different variety. I love collecting toothpaste from other countries. In other countries, people just have more natural toothpaste. Tom’s of Maine is a great one to get everywhere. It’s very gentle and doesn’t contain a lot of harsh chemicals. Toothpaste is a product that is the last thing that people replace when they go natural in their beauty routine. Toothpaste contains so many terrible chemicals. People complain, “I have little acne around my mouth, what should I use?” The harsh sulfates in toothpaste causes some of that around your mouth.”

Burt’s Bees Coconut Foot Cream

“I like to carry this in my travel bag. When I’m on an airplane, I wash my hands a lot. It’s so dry in the plane, and when you wash your hands, they’re even drier. I use the foot cream on my hands and put them into my cuticle bed with some argan oil over it.”

Kusmi Tea

“It’s so good. It’s French tea. I usually drink darjeeling or earl grey. It’s very portable and great for traveling.”

La Bella Figura Solid Natural Perfumes

“These aren’t in market yet. They’re due to come out this spring. The one I’ve been using all the time is called Barcelona. It smells really fresh. It has a light cognac in it. It smells just when you open a bottle of cava. I love all-natural perfumes. We’re creating four solid perfumes; it’s a travel collection based on favorite cities.”

Mychelle Fruit Enzyme Cleanser

“I love this cleanser. It exfoliates with fruit AHAs and gently cleanses without leaving skin stripped dry.”

Homemade Facial Oil

“This is my own personal blend of argan oil and barbary fig seed oil. It’s rich in vitamin E. I dab it on my cheeks to give my skin a little dewy glow and extra boost of moisture.”

*CleanWell Natural Hand Sanitizer Spray

“I keep this hand sanitizer around just in case.”

W Hotel Nail Packet

“Every time I’m on the plane or away from home, I get a hangnail, a broken nail, something splits —I can’t concentrate. I have to fix it. I like these because it’s all packaged really tiny.” may include affiliate links to featured products. Not all product links are affiliate links.
