When it comes to moisturizing, I’m a bona fide oil addict. But that doesn’t mean I leave zero room for creams, balms and lotions. They just tend to be reserved for my hands and feet instead of my face and body.

However, my latest discovery in the world of green beauty is The Wonder Seed’s Hemp Body Lotion, a super-slippery, lightweight moisturizer made with virgin hemp seed oil and … one minor detail … jasmine.

{The Wonder Seed sent me a sample of its Hemp Body Lotion in Fresh Jasmine. It costs $17.95 for an 8-ounce bottle.}

In what I’m dubbing “12 Days of Jasmine,” I’ll be bringing you, for 12 weeks straight, my favorite jasmine-infused product of the week.

I know there are a few of you out there who, like me, are a bit obsessed with this sexy, deeply intoxicating scent, so I thought I’d share with you what jasmine-based beauty and lifestyle products are in constant rotation around here.

The Wonder Seed’s Hemp Body Lotion in Fresh Jasmine was first on my list because of how much it’s changed my mind about body lotions in general. The non-thick, non-greasy formula spreads so easily post-shower, similar to my beloved body oils, but has enough water content to make it a true lotion.

The Wonder Seed’s Hemp Body Lotion in Fresh Jasmine doubles as a lovely, lightweight hand moisturizer in a pinch, and leaves your skin feeling soft and delightfully scented.

That’s because The Wonder Seed didn’t skimp at all when it came to using jasmine in this formulation. In a base of purified water and virgin hemp seed oil, The Wonder Seed gets right to it with organic jasmine essential oil and organic jasmine blossom extract — ingredients No. 3 and No. 4!

The familiar slippy feeling is also thanks to grapeseed oil and aloe vera, which keep this body lotion fast-drying and ultra moisturizing. The texture is just fantastic (and that’s saying a lot coming from a chic who rarely ever uses body lotions).

Here’s the full ingredients list:

Purified Water (Aqua), Organic Virgin Hemp Seed Oil, Organic Jasmine Essential Oil, Organic Jasmine Blossom Extract, Grape Seed Oil, Organic Aloe Vera, Gingko Herbal Extract, Glycerin (Vegetable), Mandarin White Oil, Soluble Natural Plant Collagen, Ginseng Infusion, Organic Green Tea Extract, Neem Oil, Seaweed Extract, Cetyl Alcohol (Coconut Oil Based), Geranium Extract, Caprylic Triglyceride (Coconut Oil Based), Kola Nut Extract, Mate Extract, Guarana Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Extract, Hyaluronic Acid (Natural Plant Based), Vegetable Glyceryl Stearate (Natural Plant Based), Bilberry Extract, Behenoyl Stearic Alcohol, Ascorbic Acid, Hydroxypropyl Guar, Potassium Stearate (Natural Plant Based), Glycyrrhiza Glabra Root Extract, Lauric Oil Extract, Nutmeg Oil Extract, Sea Salt

These extremely nourishing ingredients, led by nature’s own “wonder seed,” hemp seed oil, provide a mega dose of omega fatty acids and key vitamins to the skin. We’re lucky that, in the green beauty world, this is a norm, not an exception.

But what really stands out to me is how right The Wonder Seed got the texture and scent of this body lotion. It’s just that perfect. Many jasmines can be a bit too pungent, heady and sickly sweet. Not so with this one, and especially if you’re into layering your scents (think vanilla body wash in the shower + jasmine body lotion afterward …. hellllllo, delicious!).

I’m also just a little crazy for how well-formulated everything is in The Wonder Seed line. I’ve raved about them before in various roundup posts and social media mentions, but this is my first standalone review of one of their products.

(Sorry for keeping them from you. I can get greedy when it comes to the really good stuff.)

If you’re into product lines like Acure, Mad Hippie and 100% Pure, I’d recommend checking out The Wonder Seed. They fit right in with their commitment to stellar ingredients, no-fuss packaging and accessible pricing. This (and more!) from The Wonder Seed is definitely on my repurchase list!
