nvey eco lip lustre in lolita

I’m not sure at what point I’m supposed to switch to being a bold lipstick queen, but for as long as I can remember, I’ve always been a natural-lip-gloss-color-kinda girl.

I have to force myself to choose bolder colors for review and to take a chance on buying something not in the neutrals category, but for everyday wear, I just always reach for a my-lips-but-better gloss that doesn’t require a mirror to apply and that offers some moisture and shine.

One lip gloss I’ve been loving lately is Nvey Eco’s Lip Lustre in “Lolita,” a pretty, rose-coral shimmer that amps up the natural color of my own lips.

{Nvey Eco sent me a sample of its Lip Lustre in “Lolita” for review. A 0.28-ounce tube costs $17.}

Nvey Eco’s Lip Lustre in “Lolita” is an easy everyday color. I’m convinced it can look beautiful on any skin tone, and I love that the formula isn’t thick, goopy or sticky.

In fact, it’s quite thin without being slippery or sacrificing color. I chalk this up to the castor oil and beeswax combination that creates a perfect texture and delivers maximum moisture.

Here’s the full ingredients list:

Ricinus Communis (Organic Castor) Seed Oil*, Glyceryl Dibehenate (Vegetable Oil Origin), Copernicia Cerifera (Organic Carnauba) Wax*, Cera Alba (Organic Beeswax)*, Organic Citrus Sinensis*, Benzyl Alcohol, Salicylic Acid, Sorbic Acid, Glycerin. *Certified Organic Ingredient

May Contain: CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 77492 (Iron Oxide), CI 77491 (Iron Oxide), CI 77499 (Iron Oxide), CI 77019 (Mica), CI 77742 (Manganese Violet), CI 77007 (Ultramarine Blue).

While I usually wear Nvey Eco’s Lip Lustre in “Lolita” alone, it’s also lovely layered over your favorite bold lip color. I love the dimension a light, neutral gloss can add to your lips — talk about insta-fullness!

At $17 a pop and readily available online or at Ulta, Nvey Eco’s Lip Lustre’s are an easy repurchase for me. I love the pretty colors (I also have “Berry Delight” c/o the brand and will be buying “Flirt” on my own — see, I can do color!) and soft texture of these glosses.

Plus, the certified organic ingredients inside make me feel just fine about having this on my lips all day!

Have you tried any lippies from Nvey Eco? Are you a gloss or lipstick kinda gal? Tell me in the comments section!

    That looks great and you definitely have my intrigued with the texture description–I hate gloppy gloss. I don’t think there’s a magical time where you are required to switch to bright colors. If neutrals make you happy, stick with them.

    • Thank you! I think it’s more about lipstick vs lip gloss … I’ve just always been a gloss girl! I do stick with neutrals a lot, but I love a good red here and there. Sadly, the KC-area Ultas don’t carry Nvey Eco in store, but you can get them online pretty easily! Let me know what you try :)

  • Looks like a lovely, natural everyday shade :) I haven’t tried anything from the brand before but I’m definitely tempted x

  • Lovely shade, looks good on you :) x
