body systems | spiced pumpkin body scrub

Like most people, I’m a bit obsessed with anything pumpkin right now, and exfoliating in the shower with Body Systems’ Spiced Pumpkin Body Scrub is my latest way to capture the goodness of fall from head to toe.

I take exfoliation a little more seriously during the change of seasons and into winter, and right now, my skin has been begging for a little extra help with sloughing off dry skin.

About twice a week, I scoop a heaping spoonful (like what’s pictured) of Body Systems’ Spiced Pumpkin Body Scrub and massage it all over my legs, belly and arms.

I really work the scrub into my knees and elbows, as they’re most prone to dry, flaky skin, and reserve a bit of scrub for my feet once I’m finished with everything else. (This stuff can make my tub slippery, so I have to be strategic!)

Once I’m done in the shower, I towel off and can feel a light layer of oil remaining on my skin thanks to the generous amount of natural oils packed into this scrub. There’s really no need to use a separate body oil after exfoliating with this scrub!

Let’s take a look at the entire ingredients list:

Sugar Cane, Olive Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Stearic Acid, Pumpkin Seed Oil, Nutmeg Powder, Cinnamon Powder, Ginger Powder, Clove Powder & Fragrance Oil

What I love about Body Systems’ Spiced Pumpkin Body Scrub is that it actually uses pumpkin seed oil in it!

Let’s face it, there’s several ways to create a pumpkin spice aroma (nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, etc.), but it feels a little more special (and quite a bit more moisturizing!) when there’s good-for-your-skin pumpkin seed oil in the mix.

Pumpkin seed oil contains omega fatty acids 3, 6 and 9 as well as vitamin C and zinc, which are all beneficial to skin health.

Used in combination with olive, sweet almond and grapeseed oils, pumpkin seed oil brings it home for this delicious-smelling body scrub that’s essential to any pumpkin fan’s bathroom.
