beauty scoop | the organic pharmacy virgin cold pressed rose hip seed serum

For most people, a bouquet of roses is the ultimate symbol of love.

I’m not most people.

My favorite flower is the tulip, and while I do like the scent of roses, most rose-scented products just don’t do it for me.

Virgin, cold-pressed rose hip seed oil is a different thing, though.

I’ve been in a deep love affair with The Organic Pharmacy’s Virgin Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Serum for the past four weeks (see my cute little sample?) and couldn’t think higher of this oil chock-full of essential fatty acids, betacarotene, lycopene and other good stuff known for healing scarring, acne spots and sun damage.

Besides these benefits, The Organic Pharmacy’s Virgin Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Serum delivers a light layer of moisture thanks to its dry finish yet thick consistency; I got away with just two very modest drops of oil to cover my face and neck. Sometimes, post-makeup application, I’d dab just a bit more on my cheeks for a dewy finish.

Here’s what’s inside of The Organic Pharmacy’s Virgin Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Serum:

Neroli, Rose Hip Oil, Vitamin E, Frankincense

Just four simple ingredients complete this beautiful oil. The addition of neroli and frankincense keep this face oil’s scent from being too floral; it’s quite clean, with my nose detecting a little more neroli than frankincense (you guys know how much I heart frankincense!).

I think with continued use, this face oil could prove promising at fading my acne scars and keeping my skin soft.

It’s also amazing for your hair and scalp, though I only tried that a few times because I wanted to save my precious oil for my mug (priorities, people). I love a good multipurpose product that’s not too smelly and that has simple ingredients!

Have you tried anything from The Organic Pharmacy? What are your thoughts on rose hip seed oil? Is there anything better for fading acne scars or sun spots? Do tell (in the comments section, as usual)!
