Suntegrity Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen & Primer, Broad Spectrum Spf 30

I’ve been in Las Vegas since Sunday and wow has it been a departure from the overcast, mid-80s and 90s days we’d been having in Kansas City.

Though I knew I’d be spending most of my time working at a conference indoors, shaded from the sun, I still brought my sun protection A-game for the days where I was able to get out and enjoy the pool and walk down the strip, sun beating down on my skin.

Thanks to my lovely Goodebox subscription, I had a stash of Suntegrity Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen and Primer samples for my trip (I love taking mini products during travel!).

Using Suntegrity Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen and Primer throughout the week has solidified my love for this product (and I mentioned it here, too), which I will be ordering a full size of for year-round use.

{I got to experience Suntegrity Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen & Primer because it was included in a recent Goodebox. I pay $16 a month for Goodebox and highly recommend it! Photo Courtesy Suntegrity}

Upon first application, you’ll notice that this sunscreen feels a lot thicker than what you may be used to. This alarmed me at first — I was sure I’d experience the dreaded “white cast” that many zinc-based natural sunscreens deliver — but after massaging it into my skin, I looked like my normal self. My skin also felt soft and smelled great, like a light bouquet of citrus fruits.

The primer effects that this Suntegrity sunscreen boasts are legitimate. The natural sunscreen doesn’t leave skin sticky or gummy; instead, it has a smooth finish that is ready to receive a perfect application of minerals or whatever makeup you choose to dress yourself in each day.

Beyond a glowing recommendation from me, Suntegrity Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen & Primer is an EWG/Skin Deep top-rated face sunscreen, earning honors in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Now that is legit.

Here’s the entire (clean!) ingredients list:

Active ingredient: Zinc oxide 20%

Other ingredients: Water, Organic Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Coconut Oil Extract, Sorbitan Stearate (Plant Derived), Glyceryl Stearate (Plant Derived), Polyglyceryl-4 Isostearate (Plant Derived), Hexyl Laurate (Plant Derived), Organic Jojoba Seed Oil, Cetyl Dimethicone (Mineral Derived), Epsom Salt, Organic Sunflower Seed Oil, Organic Cucumber Fruit Extract, Astaxanthin (Algae Source), Hyaluronic Acid (Plant Derived), Red Algae Extract, Organic Green Tea Leaf Extract, Organic Pomegranate Oil, Grapefruit Essential Oil, Sweet Orange Essential Oil, Tangerine Essential Oil, Polyaminopropyl Biguanide, Ethylhexylglycerin

As I continue to attempt to streamline my natural beauty product collection (good luck with that, right?), I’m doing double takes on multi-use products. Suntegrity’s Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen & Primer definitely fits the bill! What sets it apart for me is its primer effects and SPF 30 rating (my SPF 15 sunscreens get very little use, sadly).

  • This is definitely on my wishlist. I have tried the Suntegrity BB Cream as a sample size which I loved but used up quite quickly. The only issue was it was a little too dark for my skin tone but I loved the SPF in it and it never looked white or made me break out. I need to try this version. I haven’t found my HG natural sunscreen yet. So far my favorite is Badger’s Damascus Rose SPF16 but I wish it were higher in the SPF, that’s really my only complaint. I also like Devita’s Solar Protective Moisturizer but sometimes it dries out my skin. Oh and I do like Raw Elements Sunscreens also but they can tend to me a little on the heavy side. Must try the Suntegrity next! Great review :)

    • It’s a good one! I have the Suntegrity 5-in-1 tinted sunscreen, and I like it, but I’ve just been really into my minerals lately. I hope you get to try this! Did you get samples via Goodebox? I really love Badger’s Damascus Rose SPF, too, but yeah, 16 ain’t gonna cut it. It smells beautiful, though. Maybe good for mostly indoors days. xoxo

    I will have to try all of these out – the Badger damascus rose and the Suntegrity. I am obsessed with sunscreen. I still get red on my nose though. I need more hats, etc.

    • My nose gets red, too! I need to do a better job of reapplying when I’m out in the sun.

    I absolutely love this sunscreen and primer! I got mine in a goodebox too and was thinking of getting more of the little samples to keep in my bag so I never have an accidental burns. They are super handy!

    • Agree! Those samples are the best. I love going through my trial-size drawer to stash some goodies for long weekends away or work travel. I’m excited to buy this one in a full size! Smells soooooo good.
