It’s finally summer, and though I’ve only spent one day by the pool so far, I’m not being shy about showing off my (lightly colored) legs.
So what if I’m half Asian yet remain pretty fair throughout the year? Yes, I tan easily, but I do choose to limit my sun exposure for the sake of, ya know, not getting skin cancer or premature wrinkles!
At least I’m a bit darker than my ivory lace shorts!

I’ve been loving lace anything for a few seasons now, and these off-white shorts play “nice” to last year’s black lace ones (which are still in rotation for summer 2013).
For those of you who know me well, you also know that I color-coordinate my closet. In doing this, I can easily see the colors and patterns I’m drawn to most often; that said, this blueberry swirl top is an outlier in my mostly neutral and turquoise closet. It’s a much-welcome piece for summer, and I’m excited to figure out other ways to style it this season!
A side note: For summer, I’m keeping my makeup to a minimum, especially on the weekends (this was shot on Sunday). Here, I’m wearing just a bit of RMS “Un” Cover-Up in No. 22, some brow powder, a pinch of bareMinerals blush and a lippie (ID’d below). I curled my lashes just a tad but have absolutely no eye makeup on! Sure makes getting ready for bed on Sunday night a lot easier when you have very little makeup to remove.
