I’ve been hiding this from you.
For the past year, my natural beauty blog has featured the best of the best facial oils (my favorite!) and other clean beauty products.
I’ve failed to clue you in to a natural face oil that got me hooked on spa quality, sweet-smelling facial oils with impeccable performance: Cecilia Wong Reviving Black Currant Serum.
But I haven’t totally been hiding Cecilia and her amazing array of products from you. She’s been featured on the blog and I’ve sung the praises of her gorgeous toner mist that is perpetually on my re-purchase list as well as my favorites list.
I’m on my second bottle of this lovely serum that’s packed with the most delicious-smelling natural ingredients ever. Behold:
Black currant Seed Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Carrot Seed Oil, Red Raspberry Seed Oil, Blueberry Seed Oil, Nettle Seed Oil, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Cranberry Seed Oil, Argan Oil, Eucalyptus Oil, Rose Oil
Doesn’t that sounds like an amazing cocktail for your skin?
Black currant seed oil, the first ingredient on the list and the namesake of this precious concoction, is exciting because it has a high concentration of gamma linolenic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid that can help reduce inflammation.
Black currant seeds are also rich in proanthocyanidins, the powerful antioxidants that give the berries their beautiful coloring — and give your skin the shot of antioxidants it needs to stay healthy and protected!
Besides the star black currant seed oil, Cecilia Wong’s Black Currant Serum also contains skincare powerhouses such as carrot seed oil (probably one of the most underrated oils — it’s amazing for dry skin!); red raspberry seed oil (rich in vitamins A, E, omega 3, omega 6 and natural SPF properties); blueberry seed oil (hello, mega antioxidants); meadowfoam seed oil (for that smooth, instant absorption); and rose oil (for the smell as well as the healing benefits for dry skin).
Though I’ve mentioned that this serum contains oils beneficial for dry skin, make no mistake — it’s wonderful for oily and combination skin gals like me, too. It’s just especially amazing for skin that suffers from rosacea, eczema, rashes or perpetual dullness and dryness.
One drop should do for oily and combination skin; go up to two drops if you need the extra moisture and treatment.
If you’re not into herbal-smelling facial oils and prefer sweet, fruity scents (that smell naturally sweet, not sugary sweet!), you will love Cecilia Wong’s Reviving Black Currant Serum. It’s won over the hearts — and faces — of so many of Cecilia’s devoted fans; will you be the next devotee?
