beauty scoop | sevani botanica c + resveratrol anti-aging elixir

Ever since I got a complexion analysis, I’ve had vitamin C on the brain.

Like most people, I have some redness issues around nostrils and cheeks thanks to broken capillaries.

The skin care consultant who performed the analysis on me recommended vitamin C treatment, but the particular product she suggested wasn’t my favorite — the alcohol in it stung my skin a bit.

Since then, I’ve been on the search for a vitamin C serum sans alcohol, and was excited when Sevani Botanica offered to send me its star vitamin C serum: Meet Sevani Botanica’s C + Resveratrol Anti-Aging Elixir.

{Sevani Botanica sent me a full-size sample of its C + Resveratrol Anti-Aging Elixir for review. It retails for $78 for a 1-ounce dropper bottle.}

This elixir boasts a light, creamy formula that easily absorbs into the skin and provides a thicker layer of protection than typical serums or oils.

It has a light orange/tangerine scent that’s not overpowering at all, and it leaves this luminous glow to your skin — you could wear this elixir pre-moisturizer for day or pre-oil treatment at night (be sure to admire yourself before hitting the sack!).

While I’m an oil lover at heart, I’ve become accustomed to Sevani Botanica’s formula post-wash and tone — I use it as my base layer before bedtime and then slick on a layer of ultra-hydrating oil on top (more on that later) to seal everything in before it’s bedtime repair-time.

{The light yet creamy consistency of Sevani Botanica’s C + Resveratrol Anti-Aging Elixir gives your skin a dewy glow and a shot of hydration pre-cream or oil treatment.}

Wanna know what’s inside this jar of goodness? Let’s cruise through the ingredients list.

OrganicAloe Vera Juice, OrganicOlive Fruit Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, OrganicGreen Tea Leaf Extract, Acetyl Octapeptide, Glycosaminoglycans, Veg. Glycerin, Olive Squalane, Shiitake Mushroom, Vitamin C, Comfrey Extract, Biosaccharide Gum, MSM, Tremella Hyaluronic Extract, Red Mandarin, Organic Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate (From Olives), Xanthan Gum, Resveratrol, Extracts of Organic Pomegranate, Organic Gooseberry, OrganicAcai Fruit, Organic Goji Berry, Organic Sea Buckthorn Berry, Essential Oils

It’s quite the impressive concoction! The blend of natural botanicals and cutting-edge actives keep skin looking its best — no wrinkles here! (OK, I’m 27. But I’d like to keep it this way … gotta start somewhere!)

I love that it contains collagen-boosting amino peptides, vitamin C (the whole point of this search) and skin-loving resveratrol to help improve elasticity and keep my skin hydrated so it can repair itself during the night.

I find that, in the morning, my skin feels oh-so-soft and I still have that dewy glow — hooray for a natural beauty product that my skin drinks up and is satisfied by even in the morning!

    Ooh, I’ve never tried that brand but it looks so nice! Lately I’ve been testing a vitamin C product from Andalou naturals (http://andalou.com/index.php/probiotic-c-renewal-cream.html) that I really like. It’s not an overnight miracle worker but in the past few weeks I’ve noticed my skin is much brighter using it. It feels nice on the skin too! :)

    Oh I just LOVE Sevani Botanica! Haven’t tried this Anti Aging Elixir yet though! I have enjoyed their Ageless Radiance cleanser for over a year now and the difference in my skin is amazing. Their Ageless Eyes serum is fab too – Oh and the Rose Hyaluronic…..ahhhhhhhhmazing!!!

    Mostly what I enjoy though is that ingredient list. They’ve combined the best of the best and yet stayed eco friendly AND cruelty free. Plus, being vegan their products work for me as well : )

    Definitely try their other products you’re sure to enjoy them as well!
