Didja hear? Kansas City is stealing Seattle’s thunder by snatching up the title “Emerald City” from it starting today.
OK, maybe not, but I thought the title would be appropriate for this post, in which I’m rockin’ the color of spring 2013 on my top and my tips: Emerald!

Can I just say that this necklace from Kansas City designer Jennifer Janesko is the bee’s knees? I heart it so much, and get so many compliments on it when I wear it out in the metro.
(For those of you who aren’t good with your Midwestern state shapes, that’s Kansas on the left and Missouri on the right.)
