I’ve been at my new job for nearly two months now, but have yet to participate in casual Fridays (read: jeans at work).
It’s not that I always like to dress up for work; my reason for always wearing skirts and dresses is more because 1) it’s been in the high 90s and low 100s for about a month and 2) my denim has been in storage for the past two months.
But, now that the teacher man and I have officially moved and (almost) unpacked everything, I have access to my beloved jeans and finally participated in casual Friday. Here’s what I wore to work today:

{Gold Necklace//Saks Off Fifth; Top//At least five years old via TJ Maxx; Bracelets//Inspire Boutique by Tiffany in Olathe, Kansas; Abalone Ring//Adorned Boutique in Lawrence, Kansas; Teal Jeans//New York & Company; Bow-Tie Ballet Flats//Forever 21}
My boss teased me one day and asked, “Kim, do you even own jeans?” because I typically wear skirts and dresses to work (in this heat, I just can’t stand it!), so today I proudly brought up that, “I do own jeans, see?!”
And of course, the reply I got was, “Well, they’re not a traditional blue.”
Touche.
Keeping in the spirit of casual Friday, I kept my makeup low-key. All I have on my face is a little Jing-Ai concealer in Indian Princess; Aveda powder in Honey; a conventional mascara; c/o Mia Mariu blush in Maria Bonita; and Vapour Organic Beauty Elixir Plumping Gloss in Coax c/o NuboNau.
What did you wear, either on your body or on your face, today?
