free stuff friday: eminence sun care starter set

NOTE: GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED

I’ve yet to spend time at my sparkling pool this summer (though I did manage to make it to the lake during Memorial Day).

To get in the mood for a lazy weekend by the pool, I’m excited to offer up another great giveaway: Eminence’s Sun Care Starter Set.

As a beauty blogger, you know it’s in my blood to preach about the importance of protecting your skin.

Wear. Sunscreen!

You don’t have to worry about wearing a stinky sunscreen if you win this Eminence Sun Care Starter Set. It contains generous samples sizes of two yummy-smelling sunscreens (Tropical Vanilla Sun Cream, SPF 32 and Tomato Sun Cream SPF 16) as well as the luxe Coconut Milk Cleanser I raved about last week.

A note on the sun creams: While both smell fantastic and are made with zinc oxide, a natural mineral sun barrier, the Tropical Vanilla Sun Cream SPF 32 does also contain a chemical sunscreen, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, that has strong evidence of endocrine disruption. The Tomato Sun Cream SPF 16 does not contain this ingredient, but it is a lower SPF — reapply often!

The Eminence Sun Care Starter Set also contains a lovely Aloe Mint Hydrating Cream Gel for post-sun relief (I mentioned this product on my Facebook page) in addition to a soothing Hibiscus Calendula Recovery Masque for your Sunday night beauty ritual.

So, want to win the Eminence Sun Care Starter Set? Here’s what you have to do:

  1. Leave a comment on this blog post telling me your favorite summertime activity.
  2. Promise me you’ll wear sunscreen every day!

If you’re the lucky winner of the Eminence Sun Care Starter Set, I’d love for you to snap a photo of yourself with your prize and email/Facebook/tweet it to me to be featured on kimberlyloc.com!

Giveaway begins Friday, June 8, 2012, at 12:00 a.m. CDT, and closes on Monday, June 11, 2012, at 12:00 a.m. CDT.

Sweepstakes Terms and Conditions

I love to sit by the pool and read a good book (and occasionally take a dip in the pool!). I love being outside and soaking up the warmth—summer is my favorite season!

And I do wear at least a little bit of sunscreen everyday—my moisturizer and makeup come with some built in.

My favorite summertime activity is walking through gardens and forests. I get overheated easily do I like for shade to be near by. It’s even better if it’s a forest by a lake! And I promise to wear my SPF daily. As an estherician it would be terrible of me to not take my own advice !

My favorite summertime activity is taking walks at night when it cools down! It’s so calming and I love the sounds of summer, like the cicadas buzzing.

As a makeup artist I promise that I always wear sunscreen and bully all my clients to do the same haha!
What I love to do is run! For me, the hotter the better. I use plenty of SPF and hydrate like crazy. Usually I race on a Sunday, anything from a 10k to a marathon!! it’s my form of meditation :)
Glad I found your site and a new brand to research. Eminence sounds incredible, similar to Jurlique, a fav of mine.

I love walking my dog – kinda cheesy I know! But it’s so relaxing and good for both of us!

I promise to wear sunscreen (but only zinc/titanium oxide bc I’m allergic to all the chemical sunscreens)!

Hope you are having a fab weekend Kimberly!

Working in the garden has always been a summertime favorite for me.

I wear a moisturizer with built-in SPF so that I have sunscreen every day!

My favorite past time is grilling outdoors during the summer… especially back in Arkansas. You might not think about it but you would have to wear lots of sunscreen. Nothing better then grilling with beer in one hand and my sunscreen in the other. hahahahah
