While I’m not a huge fan of button-downs, I decided to add this classic American piece to my wardrobe earlier this spring when I saw how truly versatile light denim can be.

The first time I wore this top, I paired it with black skinny pants and high heels for a tailored look.
For this outfit, shot by my lovely new photographer friend Denene Brox, I paired the top with lace black shorts and sequined oxfords for a masculine-meets-feminine look.
