So, here we are again, one day before another fun Kansas City event, and I have yet to decide what I’m going to wear.

Tomorrow is the annual Jazzoo event at the Kansas City Zoo. Jazzoo is the Zoo’s largest fundraiser and supports food and care for the animals while providing a night of food, drinks and dancing for patrons.

For this year’s event, I had the privilege of working on the ad campaign (we started in December!) and am honored that the Jazzoo committee chose my tagline, “Cocktails, Coattails and Cat tails” to describe this year’s animal theme: tigers!

While I’m a fan of animal print (leopard in particular), it’s not very easy to find tiger print in stores — especially when you give yourself less than 48 hours to plan. I’ve been scoping out a few pieces online that will help shape my look; here’s what’s inspiring me to be the cat’s meow tomorrow night.

I’m 99 percent sure I won’t be sporting proper tiger stripes tomorrow (except maybe a hint on my nails or accessories), but I can’t get over how perfect this Karen Miller dress’ print is — the stripes are spot-on, and the cut of the dress is très elegant.

Speaking of tiger-print nails, to save a little time and money on a fresh mani, I may give these Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips a try. I’m probably the last beauty guru to try these instant classic polish strips, but I just really enjoy getting a pampering mani every couple of weeks.

Even though I’m a high-heels girl at heart, I know that for a night of drinks and dancing, I’m going to want to be as comfortable as possible. A pair of chic flats, like these tiger print ones from Miss Selfridge US, will keep me on the dance floor all night long. Unless the drinks get in the way.
