They say that women on the East and West Coasts care more about their hair than people anywhere else in the country.

That little saying could have easily been proven wrong on Friday night backstage at Fashion for a Cause in Kansas City.

Local stylists from salons such as Skyline, Bijin, Pin Curls & Pearls, Shelby Herrick and Zafar created striking and sleek looks for the men and women who walked the show.

I loved this sleek, long pony. Not a hair out of place!

So many different curling irons and plenty of bottles of hairspray to keep the models’ hairdos looking lovely.
