zoya rina holiday 2011 nail polish collection

Every time the manicurist asks me if I want to try Shellac, I have to explain that I treat nail polish as an accessory and like to switch up my colors regularly. Shellac, the two-week or more gel nail polish sensation, just isn’t conducive to my nail polish addiction.

Case in point: I got my nails done last Friday for my company holiday party only to change them again on Sunday with another color (hey, I have another holiday gathering this weekend).

For my holiday party last weekend, I opted for a simple silver dress and gray shoes with blinged-out nails. I chose “Rina,” a sparkly Kelly green from Zoya’s holiday 2011 nail polish collection.

{I love the true-green shade of "Rina" from Zoya's holiday 2011 nail polish collection. Those big chunks of glitter don't hurt, either.}

  • You inspired me. I painted my nails before going out on Friday night becuase I had some extra time. Of course now they are chipped and awful looking, but I’ll be repainting them in my gold glittery polish for a Thursday night work holiday party. Just wanted to know that all your nail polish posts haven’t gone un-noticed. :)

  • PS – Just read your post on Organic Envy, and yes, I will be the one with the standard gold nails. Baby steps. ;)

  • Hey Kim! Did you see my photo tweet of the plum color. It’s one of my favs. So, for my holiday party last night, I ended up doing some layering with the gold and I LOVE the results. Really subtle, but it ended up looking like rose colored champagne. I started with a light pink, and then put the gold fleck (just one layer) on top. I’ve been trying to get a decent photo, but haven’t been able to yet. I’ll try again. :)

    • @stacy so pretty! glad i could inspire you. soon you will be wearing green + sparkles :)
