this makes me happy | sunshine award 2011

Sometimes people look at me funny when I tell them I blog for fun. As a professional writer and editor, my career keeps me busy with creating, managing and editing content all day long. How is it that in the very little free time I have I want to…write some more?

Blogging is different from my day to day. With blogging, I’m the boss. I’m the client. I’m writing because it makes me happy — and because it seems to make some other people happy, too! I love the blogging community. It’s a passionate, positive place for people who want to share small glimpses into their everyday lives and become acquainted with others who share common interests and ideas.

Over the weekend, my lovely blog friend Kristina from beancakes tagged me in a post for a Sunshine Award. This is a great example of the camaraderie that exists online — and the friendships that can develop over the Web. Take a look at the fun Q&A and some of the blogs that bring a little sunshine to me every day.
