Somehow, I have stumbled upon an apartment complex that allows tenants to paint! As I count down the days until my potential new landlord calls me with a fresh new lease to sign, I dream of what color I can paint my new living room accent wall. While this may not be the most mind-blowing thing ever, I am finding myself getting (predictably) nerdy about the array of colors that could go on my accent wall. While the teacher man has suggested I go all Jackson Pollock on the wall (which, I admit, could be really, really fun), that sort of color chaos doesn’t lend itself to the soothing atmosphere I yearn for after a long day’s (and night’s!) work.
Finding inspiration has been simple. While red excites me (and is my favorite color, hands down), turquoise soothes me. I think it would be refreshing to come home to this every day:
Although I live in the middle of the country with no ocean in sight, gazing at a blue-green wall takes my mind beachside, if only for a moment.
The rich color and rugged texture of chunky turquoise jewelry adds depth and character to my dreamboat living room inspirations.
Next step: Find the best shade of turquoise (and enlist a few good friends in this painting extravaganza!).
